PPQ calculation and Cubase 10 Arpache SX PPQ automation and length restriction

I'm wanting to automate the length of the note length in Arpache SX but restrict the value to 200% of the step size.

I have two questions:
1) Let's say I have a track at 148BPM how many PPQ's are there per 16th note? I've Googled this and my mind exploded. However, I don't think it needs to be that difficult so I expect what I've been reading has been overcomplicating it.

2) Let's say the answer to the above is 150 how can I restrict the Arpache automation range to 300 (ie, 200% of the 150) instead of the 3840 it currently goes to. The workaround is to retrospectively reduce them all until the max value hits 300 but I would like a cleaner solution. I've investigated the Transformer but there's no way to insert this into Arpache.

I think it's 120PPQ per 16th note (480PPQ per 1/4 note), irregardless of BPM.

But seriously - why would you care to have that exactly 200% (or whatever %)?? Just tweak it - not looking at the screen, ideally - so that it sounds like you want it to. It's music, not calculus class ;)

Thanks. I didn't think BPM had anything to do with it hence my confusion when every explanation I found included it.

True. I'm not completely concerned with being bang on 200% as this is irrelevant anyway after a few automation tweaks; it's more trying to understand where the max should be (ie, closer to 200PPQ or 2000).

Thinking of binning the Cubase Arpache idea and just using Xfer's Cthulu. Just tried it and got the desired result in seconds.

EDIT: Nope, not giving up dammit. I'm stubbornly sticking to the Arpache solution.
EDIT2: Gave up. Ended up automating the synths envelope decay time instead for the same result.
