Became a fan of his in the 90s as a teen. I liked the restraint those old jazzy/soul singers had, they had great voices but it wasnt all about them, they knew it was about the music first, the connections it would have with listeners. A lot of his other songs would surprise people who only knew Aint No Sunshine.
