Looking for *old* orchestral samples

Hi folks,
I've decided to experiment with some Dungeon Synth for a bit, with a specific aim of using Sunvox (a really old-school style music tracker) to create it - no plugins, just samples.

So, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for an old low-fi orchestra sample set hanging around anywhere? At a push, I could use a Soundfont and change tracker, but - again - I'd still be looking for something well under a gig of memory.

Realism is not the goal!

Many thanks for any suggestions you might have.

The most trackerly orchestra you can probably find is in Chipsounds, I think that includes the sounds that were actually in an Amiga tracker. Plogue are also working on Chipsynth SFC which is basically the Super Nintendo sample engine and its sounds emulated in excruciating detail.

For free there's also the Mysung Kite soundfont which follows the old General MIDI spec. And not-so-free things like the Arturia and UVI Fairlights, though that's getting very far from trackers.
