Hello Everyone!

I have recently been learning Reaper after years of using Reason and some FL Studio.

What I want to know is (I'm having trouble getting to grips with tidying up the timing of guitar chord strums on acoustic guitar in Reaper) as easily as I do in Reason. I know, I could learn to play better lol!

Reason detects all audio transients (no transient sensitivity at all) when double clicking the audio clip and takes you straight into it. These can then be quantized or manually adjusted according to whichever snap setting you have selected. After trying to do this in Reaper and watching Kenny Gioia video's, I'm still struggling. I've had it where I do an action, Calculate Transient Guides which is great but then if you're slightly out of time and you adjust a transient, it can speed up or slow down the strum and such and isn't what I'm looking for.

After a little digging it transpires that Reason is warping the audio when you move the transients and not sure if there's anything else it does but it just works. I can get a guitar part looped and in time, bang on in about 5 minutes including the recording of that part. I'll include a screenshot of the manual to elaborate.

How can I achieve this in Reaper. I'm actually considering just recording the guitar in Reason, tidying it up and then importing it into Reaper as it seems far simpler but that to me is defeating the purpose of learning Reaper and giving up.

Thanks!
