"Plugin Alliance and Brainworx have announced the AMEK EQ 200 Mastering Equalizer, the first in what the company says will be a series of AMEK-branded plug-ins. The 7-band EQ aims to recreate the sound of famous parametric equalizers of the 70s and 80s by firms like GML and Sontec. It will be out on May 19th, 2020."

This GUI is sexy I must admit. They should update good old 2098 (apparently 2098 is now bastarded Amek emulation rejected by PA

Plugin Alliance says that the AMEK EQ 200 plug-in was inspired by a GML 8200 EQ owned by Brainworx founder Dirk Ulrich.

Apparently, the GML 8200 was the first parametric, ever. So, a game-changer then?

I get a little tired of the channel splits effectively doubling the GUI size, when 90% of the time I make EQ moves "linked" - so it's just "analog" clutter. I prefer how PSP do it with E27... when you open the plugin it's L+R linked with a compact GUI, and if you want you can split it out to L/R or M/S, only then the GUI gets bigger. Way less confusing on the eyeballs and a more inviting workflow.

I second that. It doesn't do anything for the user.
