Hi,
I'm currently using the Waves CLA MixHub SSL channel strip/console modelling software which I really like and have started to use a lot recently and am wondering if there is anything that does this even better?

There was a very similar thread last week that covered SSL emulations with lots of opinions:

You know Waves loooves shekels. They are really missing a trick because all they would have to do is give their SSL channel strips a fresh GUI with ‘new technology’ and hang a de-esser off it and they would sell 1000s

Best single plugin may be the UAD-2 mk2 SSL 4000 E.

Also wonder about combining the Sand A.C.Q.U.A. preamp with SSL or Brainworx Algo.

Tim Petheric also recently updated his Nebula Bus Compressor.

Another vote for Satson CS Strip. Sonimus are generally cream of the crop when it comes to modelling. I don't think there is a plugin of theirs i don't like besides Stone EQ
If you have access to the platform though, UAD is a no brainer for quality at least, perhaps not price

I use the PA SSL 9000j the most. I tend to use it mainly on every drum channel. I do a lot of live drums. I like the sound of the 9000 much more that any other emulations I have. The compressor is really great too. Definitely worth it when it is on sale.

I'd recommend PA's SSL strips for for balance of CPU and quality. With a better machine I recommend Acustica's Sand.

I'll give another vote to Satson CS. This is the first plugin I put on my master fader. LOVE the compressor!!!
