How to send start and stop messages to hardware sequencer from Mulab?

Hi,
I am using Akai Rythm Wolf hardware sequencer to control Alesis SR18 drummachine. This way I can intuitively create drum and bass patterns on my AKR, using the richer SR18 drum and bass sounds. It provides me with the exact sound and way of working I was looking for... except that there is unfortunately no song mode on the AKR! i.e. no way to automatically play pattern 3 then switch to pattern 8, etc. In order to organize my patterns as a whole song
As a work around, I tried using Mulab to send program change messages to the AKR and it works very well! Except that I have to start both the AKR and Mulab manually by their ‘play’ buttons and then the AKR follows the program changes provided by Mulab and switches between patterns as expected. Also the AKR never stops playing the last pattern number sent by Mulab. I have to stop it manually.
So I‘m now looking for a way to start AKR automatically when starting the corresponding track sequence in Mulab and to stop the AKR once the sequence has finished to play. I think it should be something like start and stop messages to be sent from Mulab but I couldn’t find it...
Thanks for your help

Otherwise, any suggestion about another DAW that could do the job? = start the sequencer automatically with a certain pattern, then send program changes to certain times to change pattern to be played and then makes the sequencer stop playing at the end of the DAW sequence (or loop if loop mode is activated in the DAW)

I updated the Wolf firmware and found in MuLab the 'Choose MIDI Clock Output Module' (accessible by right-clicking the tempo field), selected the Project Event Output I had created for the Rythm Wolf. Now, while in USB mode, the Wolf starts and stops (or loops) with the corresponding MuLab sequence, following tempo set in MuLab.
