Hi guys, I have 1000 midi files that require to add a bar into the midi file and by pushing everything one bar ahead, as there is also markers there.

People who is familiar with Cubase and nuendo, what I’m doing for it manually is to import midi file into a project, mark in the selector from 1 to 2 (bars) and than right click on channel, click on add silence, and than export the midi file and save it under the original midi file.

Does anyone know maybe how can it possibly done not one by one ?

I've no idea, but usually with such questions is best to first ask why you need that? What's the use case you're going for?

Having said that, I'm pretty sure Reaper's scripting / macro abilities would let you "record" that action (loading file, inserting silence, saving, closing) and probably apply to multiple files.

In Tempo Track, the Process tabs have options. All you need to is Insert Bars, specify one bar at the bar number you want, and the timeline inserts the bar. Every track that isn‘t locked now has a gap.

Since .mid files are essentially .txt files some smart (Linux) coder should be able to come up with a batch file for that ?!?
