Knowing what I was going to hear, I had to give these a listen. There is no question that this style reminds me of something very specific but I can't really place it. I'm not talking about any specific music group. I'm talking about a specific kind of venue or location. For example, in an elevator you expect to hear something with a sax, kind of like cool jazz. I can't place the venue or place for this music but it'll come to me eventually. It is so obvious that I'm going to kick myself when I finally place it.
