Hi all,A while ago I've found a website where you can download sounds which were used by the one and only Fairlight CMI: http://www.nattvard.com/iix/index.php (http://www.nattvard.com/iix/index.php)
I was already interested by the most famous Fairlight sample On the website I've downloaded this sound as SFZ-format containing a 16bit WAV-file of 22050 sps. (Original Fairlight samples are 8-bit with a samplerate of 14080 sps, the 16-bit conversion is linear and has no effect on the sound. The different samplerate only affects the playback speed - the altered pitch is corrected in the SFZ text-file.)
I've included this in the attachment of this post
The loop points appearantly are original too, however when you open it with a SFZ-player like Plogue SForZando you will notice the loop ain't seamless at all.
I want the sound to be as similar as possible to the original, however I've adjusted the parameters of the loop points and edited the WAV-file by crossfading and by repairing the bits which were clipped. (I've adjusted the samplerate as well just by doubling the playback rate - with a samplerate of 44100 I want to prevent problems or difficulties which might occur when using it in other projects.) I've managed to make the loop seamless...

... However there's still a problem with the loop. This only sample is meant to be used for the whole keyboard range. The sampling engine (http://ariaengine.com/products/) of SforZando is very accurate, so that's not the problem. The problem occurs of what you can see in the next screenshot:

By playing the loop on its original pitch you will a seamless loop, however when speeding up the playrate the loop eventually becomes faulty as well.
Do you have any ideas how I can fix this?
