Hi everyone. I've been looking around a bit for a solution to (somewhat) automatically sampling my hardware synths (and occasionally software synths as well) but have found solutions like samplerobot too expensive. I finally decided to create a ReaScript to do most of the work for me and thought it would be nice to share this with the community so I've uploaded it to GitHub at:
https://github.com/jonastallhage/sampling-tools

The script creates MIDI notes which can be used for recording an external synth or a VST. It also creates regions which can be used to export the samples with automatic naming through Reaper's render function, the names are set up to make automapping in Kontakt easy (it would be nice to add some code for producing .sfz files as well).

As a quick demo of the script I've sampled one of my own patches from my Pulse2, it can be found at:
https://github.com/jonastallhage/synth-samples
(I really like using the bright hall preset from Valhalla Shimmer on this patch.)

I hope you'll find this useful and would of course be very happy if people use this to create samples for sharing.
