Hey Moss,
Was wondering what sort of code attribution you would like for those following your tutorial model? Much of my code is based on this. I'm unfamiliar with licesnsing and open source in this regard and don't want to get into any legal trouble. I've also used snippets of code from stack overlflow... Mainly I would like to credit you for the hardwork you put in to help all of us here!
I would also like to maintain some sort of copyright for the code I generate and contribute to this community.
Do you have any pointers to make sense of this?
Thanks,
Kirkwood

You are right, I did not add a license to the tutorials. Mainly, because I just saw that as helpful examples to get one going. To clarify, I added now the Apache license.Kirkwood West wrote: Thu Aug 13, 2020 1:53 am Hey Moss,

Thank You! So how does this work? For the tutorial stuff do i put a note in my release notes where I got some of the code from?
And then what aboout the code LGPL. Am I able to use parts or functions and implement them in my own way? And then how do I assign credits... Its very confusing to me.

Don't worry about that but read about the most common licences like Apache, LGPL, GPL, MIT and what you need to do about them. It is not that complicated.Kirkwood West wrote: Thu Aug 13, 2020 7:00 pmAll i ask is for you to let me know to make some corrections before you send me a law suit.moss wrote: Thu Aug 13, 2020 6:53 pmI am sorry I cannot give legal advice hereKirkwood West wrote: Thu Aug 13, 2020 6:35 pm Thank You!
