I like define pad rows with diffrent velocity to play veloctiy switched sounds (mute, sustain) so i need 1 pad row that it send velocity 60. 2. pad row that it send vel 120.is there a pad controller that can do this ?. best is when it have mini pads.

Sounds like you'd have to write your own script for that.magicmusic wrote: Thu Sep 03, 2020 5:43 pm I like define pad rows with diffrent velocity to play veloctiy switched sounds (mute, sustain) so i need 1 pad row that it send velocity 60. 2. pad row that it send vel 120.is there a pad controller that can do this ?. best is when it have mini pads.

I use S1 5 .I need same notes with diffrent velocity to change articulation. for example i need define 1 Pad E2 with vel 60 for the mute. and another Pad in other row with E2 Vel 120 for the sustains. or is there maybe other way possible ?.

I checked Korg Padkontrol manual and there are mentions of "constant velocity" which you can specify 1-127 for individual pads.
Constant velocity: The specified velocity will always be sent regardless of how strongly you strike the trigger pad.

Yes really the Padcontrol have the feature. I download the editor(work without hardware) and it is possible to set for each of the 16 pads a velocity curve or a constanttooneba wrote: Fri Sep 04, 2020 8:46 am I checked Korg Padkontrol manual and there are mentions of "constant velocity" which you can specify 1-127 for individual pads.Constant velocity: The specified velocity will always be sent regardless of how strongly you strike the trigger pad.
velocity. but it have only 16 pads. i wish a controler with 8*8 pads.KOrg have none. i look in nanopad it have 8 keys in a row, so can maybe buy 2, but the bad is it can not set the velocity for each pad.
maybe there are other 8*8 pads controller with that feature ?

Have you such a controller. can you show screenshot that it can work ?. The novation controllers did not have the feature, thats because i ask here. this feature is no standard feature. In the editor manual stand nothing about velocity. and in the screenshot of chromatic keyboard there can nothing choose with velocity. so it seem novation is only a launchpad and when press it send always 127 velocity
I can not test the editor, because it can only download when register the launchpad.
https://support.novationmusic.com/hc/en ... itor-GuideMIDI Note lets you assign a note to a single pad. You can customise the note, the octave, the channel, as well as change the behaviour of the note to be:
Momentary - continues to play while held but releasing stops the note
Toggle - Starts playing when pressed, stops playing when pressed again
I can not test the editor, because it can only download when register the launchpad.

The sensel have the feature not. I read in manual that there can no velocity set.

MIDI Note
When pressed, a combination of MIDI messages are sent, with the first message sent being of the Note type, similar to a regular piano keyboard.
Channel - MIDI Channel the messages from this control are sent on.
Note - MIDI note to send on press. The note-on velocity corresponds to the initial pressure of the contact. Can be left off so the control only sends a message on pressure.
After-Pressure - MIDI Message to send to report pressure values while the control is held down. These can be MIDI Continuous Controller messages, Pitchbend, Polyphonic Aftertouch, or Channel Aftertouch type.
Threshold - pressure threshold. Lower values make the control require less pressure to register a press.
LED - blink (checked) or don't blink (unchecked) the nearest LED on the LED strip when the control is pressed.
Pitch Bend - Whether this control area sends pitch bend events when pitch bend is active.

Yes, you'd build the layers and threshold levels, so low threshold ( light hits) would register one CC, heavy threshold another cc. Other ways to do it too but that would be the simplest (I'd split the pads or make other ones if I wanted absolute control without error). And you'd have to build your own overlay, their MP production wouldn't work that way unless you're willing to cut up their official overlays.magicmusic wrote: Sun Sep 06, 2020 7:30 am The sensel have the feature not. what do mean with CC ?. see the screenshot of padcontrol i post. i wish not use CC. I notice use pad let very worse velocity sensitive play, so sounds that use on low velocity mute on higher velocity sustain can not good play on pads. so i need 2 pads of same note. on pad that play for example c2 with mute sound and 1 pad that play c2 with sustain. to do this 1 pad need send velocity 60, other pad velocity 120. and this is not possible with the sensel
and when i create pads with diffrent threshold, i have same problem that when press too hard or too soft, the wrong sound is play

I use CC as a generic term for any midi messages including note on/off. Regardless it can be done on the sensel just might not be worth putting the time in to making it work the way you want.magicmusic wrote: Mon Sep 07, 2020 4:08 pm what do mean with CC ?. see the screenshot of padcontrol i post. i wish not use CC.
