I'm definitely nowhere near a power user of Reaktor, I use only presets & snapshots & edit from there. Upon loading most of my factory ensembles (Prism, Spark, Polyplex, etc) I get errors regarding event loops (looks like in the routers and on the main pages). Since I'm completely lost with anything on Reaktor I don't even know where to look to fix these. Anyone else getting these errors? Is there a simple fix for this and if so how?

Did a little bit of research on this & it seems I can go in and turn off the event loops for each ensemble. Ill read up on how to do this later, but does this mean that the sounds of each of the ensembles will be different? And why do I have to change this for each one when it was just working before I updated. I really need an expert on this as I have a few songs with Reaktor on them & I don't want them to change.

There's an option to globally disable event loops. Preferences->General.

Thanks ED. Does that change the sound of the ensemble at all? Is that a problem that any other users have had with Reaktor since the new update?

I have all these questions as Ive had Komplete for awhile & only sparingly even open Reaktor. I just play with presets to see if any of it will work for my music. There is just not enough time to know everything lol

It's hard to tell really. Depends what sort of event processing is being done and influencing what. I suppose you should try an ensemble with event loops enabled vs disabled and see if you hear any difference...

Some reaktor ensembles need event looping on in order to fuction properly ( event looping need to be handled carefully because they can lead to crashes )
If you get errors this either means that event loops are set off while they should be on, or vice versa , the ensemble is not working correcty because of this
This all depends on the ensemble and the intention of the builder .
I am still on reaktor 6.3 but can say that prism need event loops set to ON , I can't cmment on the other ensembles since I don't have them .
It could well be that reaktor 6.4 introduced a bug that automatically disabled event loops , maybe it's best to post on the dedicated reaktor forum .

Thanks. Ill post in the NI Reaktor forum later. I'll get a chance to check it out after work.

So, I tried the Global settings & indeed event loops was turned off. With it switched on everything works as normal

I still don‘t know what it means and how a patch relies on it or not...
Is it another term for allowing feedback?

Post

Yes , but for the event system only
