I am trying to collaborate with a friend. He is using Reason 10. I am using Reaper.
He is Using an Audient Ai d44.
He says his input level on the Audient is -15db
Says the levels on the Reason mixer reflect the same
But the file he sends me is -35db
My question is.....where does Reason store the incoming audio for a project and how is it named?
I can't imagine that Reason would process the raw audio.

I'd say your friend is doing something wrong. Either he's looking at VU Meters instead of Peak Meters or he has some gain adjustments inside the chain.

Reason keeps audio within project file itself. You have to righ-click on the audio clip and select "Bounce Clip to Disk" to save it to your computer separately:Scrubbing Monkeys wrote: Tue Sep 15, 2020 12:30 pmMy question is.....where does Reason store the incoming audio for a project and how is it named?

Does this bounce pass through mixer, fx etc or direct or maybe you have an option...thanks for the manual link.

No, it's direct from clip. There are other options for actual bouncing of project through FX, mixer, etc.Scrubbing Monkeys wrote: Tue Sep 15, 2020 7:24 pm Does this bounce pass through mixer, fx etc or direct or maybe you have an option...thanks for the manual link.

Quick thought given we're talking an even -20dB difference - could the "Dim -20dB" button at the mixer's very bottom right be engaged?Scrubbing Monkeys wrote: Tue Sep 15, 2020 12:30 pm I am trying to collaborate with a friend. He is using Reason 10. I am using Reaper.

Good thought but wouldnt that be reflected in the mixer meters?Winstontaneous wrote: Wed Sep 16, 2020 8:05 pmQuick thought given we're talking an even -20dB difference - could the "Dim -20dB" button at the mixer's very bottom right be engaged?Scrubbing Monkeys wrote: Tue Sep 15, 2020 12:30 pm I am trying to collaborate with a friend.
