Is there a simple video player with simple editing features that can be rewired to cubase or run alongside with MTC or midi sync or any other protocol. The video features inside cubase are a bit buggy for me especially with large projects.

Just so you know I have plenty of ram and a dedicated ssd to playback video from so I dn't think it's a bottleneck issue.

any help would be lovely,

Cubase can play video.

Yes it can. It does a pretty bad job of it though as I mentioned in my post. Thus my request for an external alternative.

Video Player/ Editor that can be slaved to cubase?
