Post

I am working on delay plugin which doesn't use feedback but each delay is "individual".

overview:
  • - 2 delays (left and right)
  • - ms / sync to tempo
  • - from 1 to 64 max delays (this may change on release)
  • - 2 filters for each side (left, right)
  • - 3 types of filters (low pass, high pass and band pass) with resonance
  • - simple controls for delays (set up start & end state of filters or volumes, you can think of like attack or release envelope)
  • - ping pong mode
  • - Windows only (64bbit) 7 - 10
  • - vst 3 only

Price will be 20 Eur (+ VAT). I have a plan add more features into VDelay later and price will be raised with updates, but those updates will be free for purchased licenses. That means if you bought it for 20 Eur (+ VAT), you don't have to purchase a license when new update will be released and price raised up.
no DRM (no protection), but later I have plan to integrate some offline protection with license key.

Release plan is in this month (probably in end).

Sounds interesting, what "rule" do you use to generate the taps if no feedback?
A well-behaved signature.

VDelay is already the short name of ValhallaDelay...

VirSyn have a collection called VTape.

VTAPE is a set of three plugins based on a thorough simulation of the famous sound of analog tape machines.

VTAPE Saturator

VTAPE Delay

VTAPE Flanger

Avoid the use of the letter ''V'' and the word ''Delay''.
Anyone who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.

That might be trickier to do, because (unfortunately ) his company name starts with a V...

Post

But there are loads of other letters he could use. :x

How about VejoDelay? :)

OK. I knew there was something familiar 'bout the name.

Years ago I purchased ''V-Plugs - Echo Trip''. That was a really cool vst.

They had two other plugins ... Emphasizer and Uranium.

Might have to break out jbridge.

Company is dead now.

Apparently this whole V thing only works for some.

A simple Google search should normally remove doubts about the naming: https://www.google.com/search?q=vdelay& ... e&ie=UTF-8

Thanks all for name considerations, I looked into google before I set a name and google didn't found any connections with Valhalla or VirSyn Delays. But good to know that names similarities. I invent several names for my plugin, you can choose what you like.

Do you have a GUI yet?

I am not sure if I understand your question, but taps are generated by number of delays. The "taps" can go from silence to original volume (for example).

He's asking what method you are using for feedback if you aren't employing feedback to create feedback.

I look forward to your feedback
