Speaking from an adjacent hotel, Mike Skinner (aka the streets) let it be known he'd only turn up for the mercury awards if he won.
Having failed, he kept his word.
He was last seen taking his ball home, his dummy having been retrieved by a record company gofer.

he stole most of the material from his first album from his mates, because no one bothered to copywrite it. That's why there are so many different styles in there. Take "Too much brandy" compared to "Has it come to this" they are totally different styles. The simple reason for that is the Mike didn't write has it come to this.

His second album could never follow up lyrically so he made it a concept album to cover up for its poor nature. Mike ain't shit really, I like him doing things like putting timpany drums in his stuff and various other good tricks but he's a fake, nothing more than an egoist who plays up to being from the streets. The fact that he never smoked weed until he was 20 and went to grammer school doesn't come into his raps much, and he never touched brown ever!

If I dare to say that's why I like Dizzy over Mike. Dizzy did live shows before releasing a record, came up with a crew and produced all his own stuff without nicking shit, plus he is a nice funny bloke. Mike's a prick.

not that i am in anyway sticking up for mike whatever his name is,but is it a prerequisite nowadays to have a heroin addiction to be a rapper/mc?
sad state of affairs really.oh and also does "brown"make you cool these days?seemed to me the people that use it were down and outs who stank of piss,so who are your idols then who have used brown?just out of interest cos im tired.
