Issue with Tracktion Waveform 11 (free)

I’ve run into a rather odd problem.

I’m recording voice on a track. I’ve been just deleting the clips and starting over during recording takes.

I’m getting an issue where clips I deleted still play as if they were not deleted.

So I record a clip. Delete it. Record a new one. Play back and I hear both clips.

I deleted the track and tried again. This time doing the loop recording. After the 2nd take I had the same issue.

I have no idea what’s causing it or how to fix it.

No plugins are running on this track.

DAW: Waveform 11 on Windows

Audio Interface: Behringer U-phoria UM2

Mic: Shure PG58

I’d love any help with this.
