Hi,
What are some perfect sound design books? I want to make sure I'm on the legal side of things and that I have documentation from a book.
I make all sorts of music, (or plan to).
Thanks,
Anthony

If you want to explore bottom-up SFX synthesis (no samples), with really detailed descriptions of physical considerations and the art of simplification and acceptable approximations, I highly recommend Andy Farnell's Designing Sound. It is based in the Pure Data patcher language but can be applied to any modular synthesis environment.

I have Welsh’s Synthesizer Cookbook by Fred Welsh and I feel like it does a good job explaining the basics and how to mold sine, square, and triangle waves to sound like instruments
