Hi guys....... looking for some massive boomy drum hits, ala Phil Collins' 'In The Air Tonight'.
Obviously there must be quite a few available but I don't fancy trawling through site after site in order to find them, (I'm in the middle of a tune!!) hopefully someone can give me a link?

Take any reasonable drum sample and apply simular fx as Phil did. Then you got original BIG drum hits.
Phil's sound can be made with mainly a gated reverb (or a reverb followed by a gate) and some compression and EQ/filter for the punch.
If you can't be bothered with this then just sample it yourself or dig in one of the huge sample archives.

pull this up to the top tomorrow if you want.. somewhere (i'd have to dig) i've got some nasty soundcard captures of the k-muse stuff for the old mirage sampler. sounds like someone falling on a pile of planks in a construction yard, fed thru phil collins' gated reverb processor :p big snares.
