Hi there,
I bought some Eventide plugins that I'd like to install on my current laptop; they can be activated via iLok on maximum 2 devices.
Assuming I install and activate them on a second device, then my (probably stupid) question is:
To use the plugins on a 3rd machine, I'll just have to deactivate the license on one of the 2 past computers? Or once they're activated they're "gone"?
Especially asking this for iLok, Waves and Plugin Alliance stuff.

It is like you said - if you want to use one of those two activated licenses on a third computer, you need to deactivate it on one of the two activated machines before that.

yes.
also iLok machine activation generally works for dual-booting, so two OS-s on a single computer are generally interpreted as ONE activation.
(unlike Wibu.)
don't forget to deactivate if you sell machine or switch computers, because the licenses can only be deactivated directly on the computer itself.
