MTurboCompLE UI (MTurboComp maybe too) not good:
--
I am assuming that your user interface in this plugin is written for aliens.
Really.
Are you claiming to simulate classic compressors?
And where is what they remember for users?
I'm not only talking about the sound, but about the strange percentage of Ratio, about the lack of appropriate marks on the knobs.
In my opinion, they were called classic - if not repeat the appearance in the photo, then at least do not confuse those who used the originals.

There's already been a lengthy discussion on the subject with some explanations from MeldaProduction in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=468691

This is a brilliant compressor plugin IMO and currently free with any purchase at Plugin Boutique. Try it out. Add your own vibe.

My understanding is that it is not trying to simulate the UI of the classic compressors but rather the action of the compressors. It’s a great plugin for using your ears to learn what each preset is doing.

Not matching the originals soundwise was clear (same for the eq or reverb). But additionally the workflow with these "turbo" things was a turn down from the beginning. That's why it eventually clearly was not "the last compressor you'll ever need" :D

This. And if you go into edit mode of the full version the possibilities to alter the behaviour of the comp or built your own comp are immense.

If you want the classic feel and look it's better to look elsewhere (f.e.: UA, Waves, Ik Multimedia).

MTurboCompLE does not have the ability to customize "analog compressor" presets.
In this state, it is like garbage, IMHO.
I looked at the sound and settings of the demo version of the full plugin.
Sounds unlikely, you can't change.
I am ready to swear with bad words.
The only thing that saves my mood is what I received as a gift for a purchase from Plugin Boutique. It could have been worse, I guess.

I pay your attention to the fact that the full plugin has the right to be without tales about "hardware compressors".

I strongly disagree to see exactly LE in this state. It is difficult to use it for its intended purpose.

I mean there was a picture of the GUI and the United Plugins Royal Compressor was right above it. Maybe you chose this plugin by accident?

Personally, I find the abstract Melda GUI much easier to use than the "analog" GUIs.

Yeah! Isn't it wonderful!?

The MB version is the spaceship and MXXX allows you multidimensional travels

So you didn't pay for it, didn' demo it, didn't have look at the pictures of MTurbocompLE at Plugin Boutique and then you come here to complain... :dog:

I was not mistaken in my choice. I was mistaken in assuming the sound and control close to the original compressors.

Perhaps someday I'll try to pay extra to the full version. But LE would be a waste of my money. IMHO.

United Plugins Royal Compressor is also available on my next purchase. I think about it.

Not exactly.
In any case, the developer should receive feedback. Both good and not very pleasant.
I have other plugins from MeldaProduction and they are fine with me.
I acquired this plugin legally, even if I did not pay directly for it with money. If I do not write about the shortcomings, the developer himself will not guess about it.

There is nothing wrong with constructive Feedback but if you write phrases like
"In this state, it is like garbage, IMHO" and "I am ready to swear with bad words"
you cannot expect to be taken seriously.
I think you should give MTurboCompLE a second chance and see it as a tool to
shape your sounds. Tweek the parmeters and just listen what it does. It doesn't really
matter if the Attack/Release Values are in %.
Anyways, have fun mixing!

I'm trying the demo.
Not a fan of the sliders for attack and release. I'm sure there's a way to change this somewhere in the settings, it seems like they're inverse and fiddly to adjust. I prefer MCompressor for simplicity.

The automatic gain compensation. oversampling, mid side processing, limiter and other features are good to have.

iirc they wen't for combination of sliders and knobs by default - to change it you'd have to edit the device "settings" Macro controls.

I tried this one too. The 1176 lacks the typical exponential release envelope which is what i tried the first since i know it best, and was a bit disappointed that it lacks it.
It's not a be-all end-all plugin and i do think that DMG Audio TrackComp2 is more faithful, but with these things there's a lot of subjectivity involved.
if i get something at PB this month it'll probably be TurboCompLE nonetheless.

and i love the device workflow :)
