Bezier curve envelope? Possible? What would it sound like?

I often try to imagine what it would be like if we took the principles of one art form and transferred it to another. While I was thinking about this, it crossed my mind that maybe it's possible to have a bezier curve envelope in a synth where the user can add as many intermediate nodes as s/he requires between A,D,S and R. Is this possible and what would it sound like? Also, do you have any unusual ideas like that?

The idea isn‘t unusual and implemented more or less in a lot of VSTis... Look for synths with Multi Segment Envelope Generators - short MSEG... a lot of them allow curves in their stages or have an option to draw the envelopes freely. That comes close enough, believe me... Have a listen at Fathom for example...
Personally I find ADSR is almost the worst concept for envelopes I have no idea why synth designers stick to it at all, there is no excuse I would accept ever...!
