At the moment I can't get past the Marychains Automatic. Dead simple 12 bars and semi-depressed cool words. It seems to sum me up. I think i'll move back to the Pumpkins Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness soon.
What do you guys listen to when your down? I dont mean downright depressing stuff but stuff with a hint of hope. Tunes that address your state of mind tactfully.

I really like Coldplay right now. I like the song "Yellow" a whole lot.Karbon L. Forms (again) wrote:At the moment I can't get past the Marychains Automatic. WH n i had split with my girlfriend, i was in a weird place and i was listening A LOT to...
"Wind of change" by the scorpions.
This served a dual purpose - It both helped me think about those worse off than me, so i would not get too self-absorbed, and it made me laugh with its cheesy guitar solos and german-acented lyrics about gorky park.

Swans! Oh yeah! Love em but they don't have the hope element. More of a "No Hope" feel there.DaRKWaTeR wrote:the swans - the burning world

This is actually a really difficult one as I haven't been depressed in ages, and my memory is shit.
At uni The Stone Rose's 'I Am The Resurrection' (especially the 2nd half) could me straight for 8 mins. Most of NIN' stuff and JM&C's 'Honey's Dead' always put me in a good place as well.
