Any way to make the GUI larger?

For those new to the Aquarius app as I was make sure you select your VST path in the settings before installing Cerise otherwise it will install in Program Files >VST Plugins>Steinberg.

At least it did here. I had to go back and install it again to my actual plugin folder after changing the path in settings.

It certainly installs quite a bit for a plugin.

Acustica also drops 675 Megs into C: App Data Roaming by default on top of 400+Megs for the Cerise data.

I'll give it a go tomorrow and see how it sounds. Certainly looks good albeit a bit on the small side.

(I realize Acustica plugins are impulse based but to be honest it will have to blow me away to justify a one gigabyte drive footprint for a single plugin and the manager).

Acqua plugins / Acustica Audio tend to be rather divisive (some people swear by them but others fiercely dislike them), but this is tbf a nice gesture by Acustica Audio. And nobody is forced to use their software of course.

Cerise, which is an emulation of a Shelford channel strip, is getting some very good reviews over at GearSlutz:

Yeah, Acustica requires you to make a pretty sizable commitment to hard drive space, CPU and RAM. Some people say they're worth it, others can't be convinced. I've tried a few of the freebies and haven't been too impressed. May check out one of the "trial" versions to see if I'm missing anything.

One thing I don't like about their installer is that it dumps all their files and folders into the system's VST3 folder -- without an easy way to put each plug-in into its own folder. By default, they don't even go into an "Acustica" folder in the VST3 folder, and you can't even change that. So if you want to try to keep things straight with your dozens of other VST3 plug-ins, you have to go back and sort everything manually.

In Aquarius "purge" the stage area (it's in your settings).
That will get rid of the stuff in App Data Roaming, which is only used for installing. The only downside is that you have to re download everything when you have an update, in stead of just a few mb's. (I keep those files on another hd, and move them temporarily back when i update).

Symlinks are your friend. I keep the actual data on a second M.2 SSD drive which is linked to an "Acustica Audio" folder in my plugins directory. Ableton "sees" the content of the shortcut folder all the same. I saved about 20GB of space on my OS drive!

I downloaded Aquarius, created an account, everything seemed OK. I installed it, but when I try to to login, I get a message about a "wrong password" and advising to reset the password (???).

I tried to login in that Aquarius website (WTF do we need two sites to login to?) and I get the wrong password message again. No place to reset it (although I am pretty sure I am entering it right, I would reset it, just in case). I tried to logout and login from my new account in the Acustica Audio website, and I managed to do it successfully. But I can't login in the Aquarius using the same credentials. This is f*** stupid.

This happens in macOS 10.14
