Dear Anyone.

Downloaded the HG Fortune Multitimbral control and it looks great. Opened up the file menu and it said 'FXBs', so I scanned my hard drive for FXBs, got over 900 of the things(!!!) associated with different VST synths and made a bunch of copies, put them in a folder and thought 'I'll try the Fortune out with those.'

Except it won't load any of them. It doesn't like the Sylenth one, or the Wavestation one, in fact out of all 900 I've yet to find one it DOES like!

What kind of .FXBs is it after? I mean all the ones I've tried it with have had that extension so why doesn't it like them? Also - sorry for 2 questions for the price of 1 here -

It comes up in my instrument list, not in my effects list. Now I downloaded it because I've got a bunch of great-sounding VSTs that won't obey CC changes, so I can't automate volume or anything in them. You can automate the HG Fortune so I thought I'd just put the Fortune on the channels and use that to automate volume etc. Can you think of any way to make the system think of it as an effect, not an instrument? As in route output sounds to it so I can use its volume etc. to automate them? Or is there something else I can use to do that? That's all I wanted really, something with MIDI learn volume so I could control my sounds better. Anything that does that - as long as it's not megabucks! - would be fine.

Yours hopefully

Chris.
