I haven't looked into it much yet, but I'm always interested in MIDI FX. :phones:

The dev is a nightmare too, really wouldn’t want to give him a penny.

Just tried to like this , but at least in Ableton the GUI is a mess when trying to resize and these kind of results can be achieved much easier with Max for live.

I‘m interested in the tool but wouldn‘t want to live a nightmare. What‘s your experience?

I bought a license of the synth and it was glitching out, no presets showing and parts of the GUI were unintelligible.
So I wrote an email to support and he said I was lying! I've never been called a lier by a company before.
We had some back and forth, obviously I was upset for paying $150 for a synth I couldn't use and being told I was lying, it was never resolved and I will never buy from him again. Assholery of the highest order.

Are there any specific M4L devices/packs you think of, or do you have to roll your own?

That's a bummer. I've had the opposite experience with Sinan, he's been helpful and very fast to respond. I've got a bunch of sonicLab plugins at this point.

The stochastic stuff is definitely fairly dense and needs manual reading, and does eat up a ton of CPU, so I don't use it often, but I really like the -bot vsts. There's basically a master envelope controller and track specific slaves. The envelopes can be straight forward or not. M4L does provide this type of functionality as well, but for those not using Ableton. It's quite handy. Takes MIDI in, or mouse clicks to trigger it as well.

I was interested in this one when the announcement came. I don't do much in the way of melodies, haven't explored it beyond the promo videos, but I'd be much more interested if it spit out CC instead of note data (which I think it does because of the 'use it to control your MPE synths' blurb).

Have to agree, this dev has serious issues. Got my share of insults as well.
Some of the concepts as such are interesting, but some aspects of the GUIs are just plain crap and don't make any sense or even don't work.
Not worth it for me.

Cheers,

Tom
