What do you think of this composition, and in what ways can I improve on it?

It works...It's got some really great melodic motifs in there and has serious potential, but for me it doesn't all quite hang together 100% at the moment. Loved the large ensemble strings that enter at around 30 seconds - lovely warm, rich sound.
The rhythmic strings - good idea, but sounds quite stilted and 'machine gun' at times...is there a 'round robin' function in the sample library that isn't working quite right or is it the lack of variation in velocity...not sure?maybe more variation in the actual rhythm used as well - Particularly the use of occasional breaks / pauses?
The soaring string melodies - great ideas in there and I can hear the connection between all the various melodic lines, but it just seemed a little bit too chaotic at times...maybe needs a little bit more of a detailed look at the structure of each melodic line...possibly some cutting back on notes used here and there?

I already have variation on the velocity for the staccato notes, but it would probably benefit from a pause on this somewhere.
I would make the entire track a bit longer, but I hope that's ok?

I think a bit longer might be a good idea... More room to weave those melodies around each other in a slightly more tightly structured way?
