I’m on Catalina and have been running into the “unidentified developer” system message while trying to install and use CHOW tape. First, I tried this fix for the .component, but all that did was remove system message. Logic would still fail to open the plugin and would open the plugin manager frequently to get me to troubleshoot the issue.
Does anyone have some steps I can follow to avoid these security features blocking VSTs that I know are trustworthy? I don’t want to turn off the security features entirely.

Would you be able to try the latest Nightly Builds (https://chowdsp.com/nightly.html#tape)? I recently added a code-signing and notarization process, so hopefully the "unidentified developer" issue will be fixed.

Sorry I never responded to this, I'd probably have gone through your github issues and offered to help test the Mac build, but I decided to set it aside at the time, and come back in a while. I successfully installed it a few weeks ago, and it works just fine, as I'm sure you've been told by any Mac users you have. Now the only thing that's left is an AAX build for when I have to work in Pro Tools haha
Thanks for the response, hopefully Chris of Airwindows has done the same with his tape sims since I last checked. Fingers crossed!
