From the site:

I am interested in the "wrong" use of musical technology in the production of music, and the semiotics of "wrong" sounds.

Now that just sounds "right" :hihi:

Yes thanks for the link ....
re the electronic section -
to my ears : the 1997 Oval stuff sounds really fresh, and everything else sounds like a cheap copy ...

Uhm...just curious...but what about copyright...are these tracks legal?
not that I care anyways...

yes they are good ... i actually hadn't listened to those till you pointed them out, so i guess i was hyperventilating :D
Have to say, my favourite in this genre isn't here at all : Delarosa and Asora's album "Agony". Scott Herren's jazz stylings go beyond much of the stuff here, which is still pretty much standard rock/pop chord progressions when you strip away the sonic textures.

Hi there

Maybe we should make a list of favourite weird artists. I would be interested to here who people think are most interesting experimential musicians

I think Michael Hedges is sitting up in Heaven with one of those guitars right now, playing the strings off it. :)

Great link btw and many thanks.
We shall see orchestral machines with a thousand new sounds, with thousands of new euphonies, as opposed to the present day's simple sounds of strings, brass, and woodwinds. -- George Antheil, circa 1925 ---

o00oh!
I like lists.

Here's three:
Andrew McKenzie
Steven Stapleton
Christian Fennesz

Um, three more:
Kim Cascone
John Cage
Autechre

Oh, and:
Luigi Russolo
Harry Partch
Organum

I bet there's more.
