The following have been nominated for the rock and roll hall of fame this year
Mary J. Blige
Kate Bush
Devo
Foo Fighters
The Go-Go’s
Iron Maiden
JAY-Z
Chaka Khan
Carole King
Fela Kuti
LL Cool J
New York Dolls
Rage Against the Machine
Todd Rundgren
Tina Turner
Dionne Warwick

If elected, Carole King and Tina Turner will become the second and third female artists inducted twice, following Stevie Nicks’ 2019 election. If Foo Fighters are inducted, Dave Grohl will also become a twice-inducted performer.

I'm not really buying the need for Carole King to be inducted twice. Devo and Go-Go's always struck me more as novelty acts.

Ronnie James Dio should have been inducted a long time ago, yet he's not nominated. FFS, he's the guy who gave us \m/. That alone seems a fuckload more worthy of being in the rock and roll hall of fame than having sung "Do You Know The Way To San Jose".
Even if the piano player can't play, keep the party going.

RATM should be a no-brainer by now and why has it taken so long for Todd Rundgren to be inducted? I mean, the guy has a resume that many inductees could only dream about.

Maybe they are holding "Bat out of Hell" against him.

Also, it took until 2016 to induct Deep Purple. Everyone who even considers learning to play guitar knows the riff to "Smoke on the Water". Hard to say you aren't influential if your song is on the list of those "banned by Guitar Center".

What did Bat Out If Hell have to do with Todd Rundgren? I thought it was by Meat Loaf and Jim Steinman :?

Also inexcusable that Glen Snoddy is not in the hall of fame.

Wow. I had no idea ... I was a fan back in the 70s. Saw him play at Knebworth Festival (with Utopia) and at his one-man show in Manchester.

TR was the producer and played on it.

TR killed The Tubes!

If Dave Grohl is in it, it must be stoopid.
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.
