Hi all,

New to DAW and to the forums.

Ableton Live Lite is the friendliest DAW I've tried yet ... except for that awful metronome.

Clicking the button repeatedly does not disable it. Every time I hit that Arrangement Record button, it starts clicking away mercilessly.

What's more, the metronome sound gets recorded with my MIDI input. Why this would be a default behavior is unfathomable to me.

I want to disable the metronome altogether but I have found nothing in the user guide to allow me to do that.

Guidance appreciated.

It should stop after the count-in. You won't get it if you select none for a count-in.

Click on the down arrow on the metronome button, disable the start on recording option.

I think the volume of the click can also be varied using the cue knob on the master track in the mixer. The one with the headphones. Then you have the visual click, but no sound.
