Alternatives to high end hardware for hifi natural sampled sounds

Hello!

I am contemplating purchasing a Korg PA1000 because I would like a quality range of instruments at my disposal. I can already do so much with my PC synth wise but there is a big gap in quality natural sounds (piano, keys, organs, orchestral, instruments etc).

I know it's an arranger (I don't mind) but it's the only one right now that has all these quality sampled natural instruments in one package at that price (else is Kurzweil, I7 . Genos etc).

I looked at other lower priced hardware equivalents and the contenders are MODX but even then, it's still not to the same high standard (but it's close).

Is there in the software world anything that is as comprehensive and simple? I know this is a recurring question for Integra 7 prospects as well.

I am aware of Halion, Kontakt, Sampletank but it seems hit or miss and too many synth sounds I do not want.

I checked Vir2 VI.one and Goliath etc and it's not quite right/there. UVI is close but too many separate bundles to purchase (probably with a lot of stuff i don't need).

Thanks in advance for your help!

For a software sampler like Halion you need to buy extra libraries.

Q: How many libraries do you need?
A: Just one more

Yes that is a joke, but a real and serious problem nevertheless.

A hardware instrument comes as is. I hope... Just get the most out of it (be productive) without thinking about what you don't have yet (very unproductive)
We are the KVR collective. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated. Image

Thanks so much. Yes I have envisioned this already and felt this coming last time I looked :-)

Can you recommend a vendor that would have quality libraries that are varied but also focused and not too big? I wouldn't mind buying just a package for an individual instrument if it's quality and not too large. i.e something "a la carte" .

If that exists..

Found this thread at VI Control it looks like this is a common question with no easy answers:

Hmm, that's the question of all questions: In the entire sample library world,
it's always about having quality multisamples - not too big, but still
"sounding good".

Therefore your question can hardly be answered without writing a
whole book.

If you take a look: This forum part only deals with samples (and of
course samplers). Just take a look and search specifically!

Just get Kontakt. It'll beat any arranger keyboard's library easily. Just remove anything you don't use.
Don't F**K with Mr. Zero.

Omnisphere has a lot of virtues - huge range of natural sounds but the synth aspect might annoy you. Worth a look
or Kontakt and only use the included libraries unless absolutely missing something
or look at Falcon again - the freeplayer plus libraries will get you there - you probably dont need the full blown Falcon if you arent editing a lot
