Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows of a sample library that focuses on handbell samples, preferably in Giga or Kontakt format? I am doing an ambient piece and I would like to incorporate and manipulate the sound of handbells in my work.

Cheers,

Hi, I only know a fine handbell-soundfont from the maker of Awave, he has some small bells too. Handbells I have, I think there's a demo with lower sample rate too. Not free but not expensive too. I think alone some 3,95Euro. I got a pack with bodhran, early instruments (really funny!) and handbells some time ago for 9,95? Don't remember exactly.

Thanks, Klemperer! I will look at Awave's site.

Ethno World 1 cd set has great Bells in that collection of ethnic sounds.

Actually, there is a hand bell library that's fairly cheap in Giga format.

http://www.themusicdifference.com has it.
