Nope, no current dongle. I have one of the lite or le versions or whatever, but now that you mention it, I'm not liking the price for the upgrade frmo LE to Full.chk071 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 12, 2021 5:45 pmI'm pretty sure the dongle won't be a big problem, when you purchase a product which costs - 582 € for Cubase Pro; 502 € for Wavelab Pro; or 1.000 € for Nuendo. If it then happens that the authorizations switches to a non-dongle solution, your biggest issue will be a piece of plastic in the wastebin.elxsound wrote: ↑Mon Apr 12, 2021 5:38 pm Well, I might as well wait for the next sale then. I don't like the idea of buying a dongle that they know will become obsolete. That just doesn't make sense.
If by miracle, they update their plan before May 2nd I'll buy in, but I'm guessing that won't happen since there will be lots of angry new users that were just forced to buy the dongle.
And, if you buy one of the upgrades which are on sale ATM, then (most likely) you already have a dongle.
I used to have the dongle when I had Wavelab, but I sold that with Wavelab.
And as much as I understand that $30 pales in comparison to the full price, I have no interest in paying more than I have to. It's a dumb idea especially when you're aware it will be obsolete in the near future.
I'm in no rush either. I work primarily out of Live and Logic, but I like Cubase more for mixing. Its nothing urgent but for the right price (and dongle free) I would switch.
