Hello!

Seeing the updates for Cypher 2 got me thinking about Geist. Whichis still one of my all-time favorite pieces of software.

Are we likely to have a new version, down the line? FXpansion have been pretty quiet about it over the last while. :( Unless I’ve missed something?

Thanks for any info’! :)

I think Geist is great... but I mostly stopped using it and consider it no longer in development.

I will be getting the 16" MBP with Apple cpu when it is released and so in preparation, I have stopped using software that I don't think will be ported. Geist is one of those that I guess will never make it to native Apple Silicon support. That is just my opinion and I have no information other than observation from the vantage point of any user.

That's a real shame if so. :( I mean, it's pretty old now and it's still easily one of the best.

I may start praying for NERVE 2!

I bought it some years ago and it crashed again and again. I wanted my money back, but didn't get it. I wanted help in their forum, but only got **** answers. I thought about to sell it, but they want $50 for the license transfer. I gave it up, but also found much better alternatives, especially meanwhile my DAW can do the same and much more. So finally, I'm really grateful to them, because they motivated me to learn more and more about the alternatives! :tu:

EDIT:
I also have Nerve and it has less features, but it never crashed on different systems!

Sorry to hear you had such a crappy experience with it mate. It's a shame that FXpansion dropped a lot of their older plugins, becase they were a great company back in the day. I had (or still have) BFD it but it gave me a load of hassle. So, I went over to Superior Drummer 3. And never looked back! :)

As you say, Nerve is not quite as good - But as far as I know version two is in development. But who can say when it will be released. :(
