This week we are continuing our wave of fresh Kotakt Spring releases with our newest addition to our Soulful Studio Brass series: Trumpet 2. This is not an update to the Trumpet 1 library, but rather a Trumpet 2 player with a distinct mellow and jazzy sound different from that of the crisp Trumpet 1. Trumpet 2 follows two other Soulful Studio Brass libraries, Trumpet 1 and Trombone, which were recorded in one of the greatest recording studios in the UK and offers an ultra deep-sampled instrument with an articulation list second to none.
This week we are opening a new chapter with our Soulful Studio Series Trumpet 2. This library was recorded in an identical fashion to the Soulful Trumpet 1 and Trombone and they are designed to be used stand-alone or together. Dynamically layered legato and ultra-smooth Trumpet 2 legato transitions, a wealth of short notes (example 3 types of staccatissimo), several arcs and performance articulations, all common Trumpet effects and a large section dedicated to muted Trumpet.
The sound is best described as warm, smooth, expressive. Great for pop, r&b, jazz, soul, big band, blues. Full of life and musical emotion and always super realistic.
The Studio Trumpet 2 will soon be followed by Studio Bass Trombone and thereby complete the Soulful Studio Quartet.
