Help identifying synth sound in this song/tips for reproducing sound

Hey folks,

Been trying to recreate this sound for a little while now (starts at the 26 sec mark). Despite a long marriage to a Roland JP8000, as said on another forum, my knowledge of synthesis starts and ends pretty much in the same place.

It's been suggested that this is a basic pulse wave and to give a Minimoog a go. Another suggestion is that this is a stacked sawtooth with a formant filter. The first option seemed to get me in the ballpark, I even tried adding a vocoder to the chain but I've come up with nothing. The second option brings me close timbre-wise but, the envelope suggestions I received (short attack and decay, med. sustain) seem incorrect. Experimenting with those parameters hasn't gotten me any closer it seems.
