a little off topic, but i figured i'd as you guys seen as some of you have a good idea what your talking about.

Does anyone know if there any access points out there that can work in a sort of dual mode, being both in repeater or bridge mode at the same time as being in access point mode, basically to allow the AP to work without any lan wiring, but also being able to service any clients nearby it??

as i know that access points are designed to service the wireless clients nearby them, but at the same time the access points need to be wired into the lan network themselves. Well, what if there is no cabled lan network at all? how can we have several wireless clients and access points situated around a building, without a single ethernet cable?

ideally i would like to be able to set up a wireless network, with say 10 clients situated around a fairly large building, with an adsl wireless router acting as the dhcp server, and several access points located at various locations in the building. but i dont want to have to hard wire any access points, so im looking to find out if there are any access points that can work in this dual kind of mode i refered to earlier, or just a good quality access point that can work without any lan wiring, basically an access point that can service its clients at the same time as being able to communicate with other access points.

any ideas??
