Thanks to the sale of my plugins towards DDMF I have some time off. And because I can not sit quietly in the corner, I am now working on some newer reverb algos I came up with. The 250 design restricted me and I feel more free now to design my own. It is not based on the 250 or the other well known schedules. My adventure already creates interesting new smooth reverbs. Is there still a market for new high-end reverbs (surround, atmos etc). Curious about what you think.

I think the key for plugins are the quality an easy usage and a fast "delivery" i usually use the pro r from fabfilter, it's very good but not so fast as the valhalla, than i also have a melda reverb, it's very good too, but it will require more time for me to use it in the right way, and i struggle more to find the right sound in comparison with the pro r, so i usually end up to use the pro r, even if the melda sound really good to.
So i think there are always market for something interesting. The guy to beat is the valhalla, so i think if you can deliver something easy to use with very high quality sounds and preset that are almost ready to use, and maybe some kind of functionality that valhalla doesn't have, and you release it at competitive price, we have a winner.
I hope my feedback will help you

Absolutely - and with your kind of expertise "bring it on" is what I say.froombosch wrote: Thu Apr 01, 2021 10:09 am Thanks to the sale of my plugins towards DDMF I have some time off. The reverb market seems very saturated right now. There are so many great ones. You'd have to do something special.

It is saturated for sure - just like the compressor market, the delay market, the EQ market, you name it - that doesn't stop us from wanting and purchasng more though, does it?

I actually have a long list of plugins to check, because I'm too lazy to give so many a try and I already have more than enough to get the sounds I want. No purchases for me unless it is something really extraordinary... like a Peavey Bandit 112 pluginjens wrote: Thu Apr 01, 2021 12:03 pm It is saturated for sure - just like the compressor market, the delay market, the EQ market, you name it - that doesn't stop us from wanting and purchasng more though, does it?![]()

It's all about the sound.jens wrote: Thu Apr 01, 2021 12:03 pm It is saturated for sure - just like the compressor market, the delay market, the EQ market, you name it - that doesn't stop us from wanting and purchasng more though, does it?![]()
It's pretty awesome. Quite hard on the CPU though, like all the good sounding stuff.

For me the "pain point" in most reverbs is in the selection of early reflection patterns. Toggling through a few different ones doesn't help me understand how they relate to each other and it can be tricky to remember which is which, choosing the best one for given material. Would be great if someone could parametrise reflection patterns to 2-3 musically-meaningful dimensions with useful parameter ranges.

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

I guess I have to give Raum another go - tbh I had forgotten that I even have it - I laso have both the Modulation and the Crush bundle that I never use...
Either way I think it's a pretty safe bet that Harry's reverb(s?) will be a completely different thing,
