It might not have a knob or button on the front panel but something's pushing buttons and pulling levers behind the curtain. :lol: I think I have some older Sonic Couture libraries. I'll have to check out the new stuff. Thanks for the suggestions!
Yeah, all Kontakt patches run on the scripting behind the scenes without a doubt! I love the open source ones where you can go in and tweak the programming... I'm only capable of the very basics, but you can really mash it all up!

Native Instruments website has loads of scripting packs for download and some companies (SC) is one I think, have scripting templates as well.

My favourite ones are the alternative intonation / microtonal ones... Loads of them... Work with them for a week and when you go back to equal temperament it discombobulates your hearing totally for a day or two! 🙄

Ok, it's literally a feature, but that kind I don't know or care much about, I ain't doing it

I think like a wind player really, and have no normal keyboard technique to speak of, so legato is easy.
I get sick of the same rate of vibrato like that, that's very Garritan Personal Orchestra.
I really care about vibrato and go to some lengths.

Yeah, the vibrato is very rich on patches like this... Does sound very much like TG on some of her more 'romantic' performances, but..

The lack of control is definitely very frustrating and that rich, warm sound that gives you a big friendly hug for the first few listens slowly starts to feel quite uncomfortable - tightens its grip and slowly but surely grinds you down... Slightly mixed metaphors there, but you get what I mean... It's just too much after a while!!! 😭

If course most people will just listen once... maybe twice and I think it works fine in that way.

GPO God, you don't hear that mentioned much these d days... Is it still going, I wonder?

Years ago - Bought an early incarnation at a cut down price... Had an initial 'new software buzz' with it and then never ever used it in a piece!!!

Yeah, I bought it before he had it in proper jackets or the DVD case, it was in paper disk covers in a manila envelope.

I bought Garritan harps for the Aria (SFZ) engine last year.

I like my VSL stuff, it has all kind of vibrato in some of it, evolving vibrato, blooming vibrato... and crossfade from one to the next on longs.

With apologies to any professional cellists who might come by...it's very much written for the 2 virtual libraries involved and NOT meant to be an attempt at creating a fully genuine 'cello' sound! :)

Duet for Cello and Piano

Created using Kontakt 6...

Piano = Noire
Cello = Tina Guo Legato
absolutely stunning!
