In this Spanish facebook page they say that next tuesday a new softsynth from Arturia will be presented. Anyone knows what is this about? Maybe Pigments 3?

they say it's a new revolutionary softsynth so it can't be just a new version of pigments. It must be something completely different

"revolutionary" is very intriguing and exciting. A synth that will change the world. I really wonder what it could be. Maybe it will be based on AI and analyse vocal requests from the mic input. You ask for a fat moog bass, a wah wah trumpet, a dog bark, a russian helicopter, whatever, and it will program it automatically for you, no need to turn knobs anymore !

Love to see a Mikrofreak inspired softsynth (as most of MF is code anyway)- using MI and Noise Engineering oscillators etc, weird modular type sequencers, unashamedly digital!
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Could it be an emulation of a CS-80 that sounds like a CS-80? :hihi:

"revolutionary" could also mean an emulation of a synth that already changed the world, but then I can't think of anything that revolutionary that isn't already in the V collection (or slated to be in it next iteration; ie the vocoder). Except maybe the JV1080 ? I suppose a "Virus V" could maybe count too.

edit: M1 maybe? I guess that was revolutionary, but I always assumed they weren't touching Korg's products for 'reasons'.

I don't think it will be an emulation of an old synth... it wouldn't be a "new revolutionary softsynth" then. It's pretty clear that they mean it will be something that was never done before, and that's why it's so exciting

Pigments and V collection cover a lot of ground....what's left! Maybe someone will finally do the Roland V synths- Roland don't seem to want to!

That would be revolutionary for Arturia.

I'll venture to guess that you're going to be disappointed. Lots of bog average products get buzz words like revolutionary attached to their marketing materials.

I'm guessing it will be something more evolutionary than revolutionary. Kind of like how Pigments had some interesting ways to display modulations, but isn't in and of itself anything revolutionary.

This is my expectation, too. I’ll be pretty surprised if it isn’t a subtractive virtual analog with a little bit of sample manipulation stuff, an obnoxious UI, and one questionably useful new feature.

“Revolutionary,” to me, means stuff like a guitar AI with physically modeled hands.
I hate signatures too.

Maybe they're not going to send us the same upgrade offer marketed as a different offer every other month, now that would be revolutionary.

It's going to be a drum synth :)
I can feel it in my bongo's.

Without 909 and 808 samples, that will be revolutionary.
