Audio Looping Effect?

Hi Everyone,

I am assuming something like this exists, but I am having trouble finding it. Perhaps someone here can help?

I would like to trigger a sample using my midi keyboard, and then have a portion of the sample loop - using loop points on the waveform that I set - while I hold the key down (even though the original sample will not longer be played, as it is a “one shot”). In other words, I am looking for an audio effect that would work on live audio input and, ideally, work in a similar manner to samplers where you need to first load sample files manually.

Any thoughts you may have would be appreciated!

Thanks for your reply! I thought this would do the trick, too, but I have been testing it out and I just can't seem to get the settings right. I have e-mailed Os of Expert Sleepers a few times, also, and I don't think it will really work this way (although the actual sample player is fantastic. The crossfade on this just works great right out of the box, so it's a shame that the effect version doesn't really work the same way (for me).

If you use Ableton, have you checked out this one? I haven't used it, but seems similar to Xfadelooper
