In cubase, there is an option that makes it possible to just click a button and after you star recording a vst and move its knobs, cubase writes its automations, without having the knob armed in the first place for beeing recordet.
Is there such an optin in reaper?

Yes, in Preferences / Automation >> "Automatically add envelopes when tweaking parameters ..." . Then just set the track, or all tracks, to Automation Write mode.
