Hello guys,
If my main DAW is Bitwig and secondary is Live/Cubase. Wondering which CPU will you choose if you were building up a new PC. I am not too familiar with CPU technology. But is it true that more cores and threads can handle more CPU hungry VSTs (diva for instance) and speed up the wav rendering?

Diva can indeed utilize multi cores in Bitwig efficiently.

The most synths and effects however don't make use of multi core. So... it's really the best to have both really - single core and multi core power (I'd still argue that single core performance is more relevant though).
Both CPU's will give you a lot of that. I'd buy the i9-11900k though. Doesn't look like it's much more expensive, while it it a bit more performant.

Yeah, 11900K all the way!
But, Ryzen 7 5800X does look even more tempting at the current price and slightly better performance, paired with something like MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX, it's much more budget friendly option... guess you could easily be more than satisfied with Ryzen 5 5600X.
