Why these days nobody can create something like this anymore (link below)? The new generation these days can listen to a "5 sounds" tracks songs that have only a few notes and be completely satisfied with it. I have a feeling, that ten years later someone will get a Grammy for "one kick only" tune (Yeahhh, bravo, applause!)

There is still music being made at that level, heck, I hear some of it here on KVR sometimes. I can't think of anybody doing anything just like The Orb, but I don't know that there ever has been anything else just like them. There was plenty of "5 sounds" stuff around when that track was released too. Popular music has never really been the place to look for this kind of thing.

Being in my 40's, I've heard this "nobody makes good music anymore" thing several times, and yet, I've never had a hard time finding awesome new music.

If you can't find interesting new music you're looking in the wrong places. The Orb were never a pop group, and were considered a bit weird at the time ...

first: you have pulled one of the better tracks of my life out of nowhere... so i had to log in over phone and tell you this.

this is the greatest airplane album if all time. i cannot tell you have many times this album (and this particular track) was in my headphones during long flights..... this is back when flying was FUN you understand. you wanted to fly.

second: EDM happened. presets happened. people stopped listening to synthesizers happened. AI made content happened. appreciation was lost. algorithms were copied and repeated ad nauseam.

its even weirder, when a musician says it, theres only one reply really,
"i dont know, why arent you?"
not so much the good, im not commenting on the ops music quality(not sure ive heard any?), but "why does nobody make music like this?" i started doing stuff, not to be like anyone else, but to make the things i wanted to hear, that i didnt think had been made.
then by sharing said pieces, over the years people have said "oh, that reminds me of..." and ive found some great bands id never heard of.
obviously, this isnt the same, he has an example of what he wants!

it was a completely different world. albums like this inspired our imagination and gave us mind space. i was THE ONLY ONE LISTENING. I was the ONLY ONE ON THE PLANE OR IN THE AIRPORT WHO KNEW WHAT THEY WERE HEARING. i was an individual, and MY music was NOT my life, it enhanced my life. it made it better. it was a peaceful and exploratory time. I was doing things others were not.

it is a great album, far from their best though.
seen them live god knows how many times, and tbh, there was quite a crowd at every gig, so you never know, maybe one other person was listening to it at the time, they were quite popular. (and rightfully so).

anyone who goes on top of the pops, and plays chess instead of instruments

i can tell you this as FACT. because i was part of, and was living with, some of the greater band and rave organizations of the day. this album was important to me, in particular, and especially this track, and if you copy it i will know.

I disagree with everything you said aside from the orb being good (maybe show a little love for Abolition that just came out last year while you're complaining about music today)
I don't recall them,or a load of other acts being chart topping darlings of the Grammy either

Good music is always out there AND there is nothing wrong with people enjoying a simple pop tune

here is the difference in context. you didn't know what was going to happen tomorrow. you made your own tomorrow. it was a surprise. you had free will. what you did was up to you. that is no longer the case.

you guys know what your tomorrow will be: there are no more surprises. this track was about what might happen in your future. that is why it feels good.

What is happening with the music.
