Can you Swing/Shuffle midi data in anyway? I'd love to elaborate because this message is a tad short bu that's it really... I got some drum patterns that I can only click in bu they are too quantised. :?

I'm not quite sure I understood your last msg? :? I'm suprised that there isn't anything that does this sort of task. In fact I'm suprised that hosts like Cubase don't have it built in. When your clicking things in you want the opposite of quantization!

I swear that certain old drum machines had a 'swing' feature built into them? I also seem to remember Reason having such a thing.

Can't be that hard can it? :?

Every good host has more or less elaborated swing quantize options. At least all the hosts I work with (Logic, Live, Muzys) have. I bet you're just overlooking it in Cubase.

not being very helpful (ur host *should* have some options)

but what i meant was that i'm able to make midi plugs with synthedit..

atm, midi processing plugs seem to have sloppy timing, eg. notes might be an 8th late.. no good. this might be a design fault on my part.

what i *can* do is make plugs that _generate_ midi, eg. a sequencer, arpeggiator, et c. with accurate timing *if they use an internal clock*

eg. an arpeggiator uses an internal clock synced to the host.. doin gthis, the timing is solid.

hoping ur host is solution, if not, synthedit might be userful to a degree ??
