When the data is corrupt in the Desert of the Real, Beyond the Last Thought, where intuition reigns, is the solace that will embolden and strengthen the soul, giving hope once more to this age of failing technique. eassae.com

some nice rhythmic elements in there
some 8-bit sounds
for me, a very busy composition... I'm becoming more of a minimalist!
still interesting though

what is the name of that style? has it a name?
the snare is right in da "face". although it is a bit too dominant for my taste (but that doesn't mean anything :) ) it is impressive how it is sitting like a sound-bubble right in front of you. i almost can see it...

I couldn't name the style for you. I've never paid much attention to genera or tried to fit into one. That said I know I pull from a lot of different sources.

Yeah, I agree with you that the mix on this is a little off. I think it's a little boomy and the bottom end is too compressed in addition to the snare problem you mentioned. Also, I hadn't learned to cut the frequencies on my reverbs at that time, so it gets a bit muddy in places.

I think this track was from around 2013, and is still one of my favorites. I've thought of remixing and mastering it, but I'm terrible at bouncing my midi to audio so if I opened up the session who knows what issues it would have after 8 years of software updates.

Thanks for listening as always.

I wouldn't see it that dramatically now. And I didn't mean the snare in a negative way either.

the sound just reminded me of the visuals used here... just to show how sound translates into a stage.

That's a great video. I wish I would have found something like this earlier in my music making journey.
