Usage data collection in Bitwig 4

So, what are your thoughts about usage data collection introduced in v4 (it can be disabled in Settings / Behavior for those who are untrusting of such things):

I think this is a very good initiative & I wonder what kind of data is collected to help them understand users' workflow better? Time spent in different panels? Volume of MIDI vs. audio data? Total length of automation in miles/kilometers? Average rate used for modulation? Preferred colours?

While this seems helpful, it unfortunately misses one thing - tracking of features users would use, if they were there. They should add a "requests & complaints" button, which would record short audio, e.g. "wish there was a [xxx]" or "wish I could do [xxx]" while recording the screen - say limited to 10-15s - so that the user could easily & quickly explain what they mean... Obviously that would likely choke Bitwig's servers and would require doubling the team, but one can dream

Cool. Maybe they can see how many times I try to make the tracks smaller to free up space in the arrangement view or get turned around from the piano roll constantly changing how it looks.

Metrics are good. For the "They never listen to us... " crowd.

Oh wait, those are the ones that complain about metrics as well. Bummer.
